The World-wide Hydrogeological Mapping and Assessment Programme (WHYMAP) provides data and information about the earth´s major groundwater resources. The World Karst Aquifer Map (WOKAM) allows a more precise global quantification of karst systems. The map will help to increase awareness of karst groundwater resources in the context of global water issues and will serve as a basis for other karst-related research questions at global scales: for example those related to climate change, biodiversity, food production, geochemical cycles and urbanisation.

Der ConSent-Viewer bietet die Möglichkeit, die im Projekt „Connect Semantic“ erarbeiteten lithostratigraphischen Einheiten von Bayern und Baden-Württemberg der „Übergeordneten Generallegende Geologie“ (ÜGL) sowie die Originaldaten dieser beiden Länder in den Ausgangsmaßstäben 1:25.000 bzw. 1:50.000 zu betrachten und abzufragen. Die Attribute der Einheiten des ÜGL-Layers enthalten die Namen und URIs der jeweiligen Länderlegende und der ÜGL sowie den Beziehungstyp zwischen beiden Einheiten entsprechend dem SKOS-Vokabular. Außerdem sind aus der Länderlegende das Namenskürzel und aus der ÜGL die Visualisierungs-ID mit aufgeführt.

In addition to onshore geological investigations, BGR conducts airborne aeromagnetic surveys. The available series contains the results of aeromagnetic surveys from the CASE program as well as cooperation projects (PMAP, NARES & NOGRAM), which were obtained with helicopters or fixed-wing aircraft in the Arctic.

Reconnaissance surveys were carried out in 1975 within the framework of the BGR program "Geoscientific studies in the North Atlantic". The data format is Society of Exploration Geophysicists SEG Y. The areas covered were the continental margin of Spitsbergen, the Barents Sea and the Norwegion continental margin. On the vessel LONGVA (30th August, 1975 - 29th September, 1975) multichannel seismic measurements were carried out on 37 lines with a total length of 2,815 km.

The main goals of the project SO231-PAGE4 were an improved understanding of Gondwana break-up and to analyze timing, structures and kinematics of ancient to modern Extension along the East African continental margin. During the cruise SO231 from 20th February 2014 (Durban) to 29th March 2014 (Durban), a total of 4300 km of geophysical profiles has been acquired. The processed (migrated) profiles are available in SEG-Y Format.
